The UEFA European Championship, commonly referred to as the UEFA Euro 2020, is scheduled to be held in multiple countries across Europe. This unique edition of the tournament is being hosted in 11 different cities in 11 different countries to celebrate the 60th "birthday" of the competition.
The 11 host cities are Amsterdam (Netherlands), Baku (Azerbaijan), Bilbao (Spain), Bucharest (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Copenhagen (Denmark), Dublin (Ireland), Glasgow (Scotland), London (England), Munich (Germany), and Rome (Italy). Each city will host three group stage matches, as well as one match in the round of 16 or quarterfinals. The semifinals and final are set to take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
This panEuropean approach to hosting the tournament is a first in its history and aims to bring the excitement of the European Championship closer to fans across the continent.
